<*>[Attachment(s) from Dhuni Soren included below] It is really disgraceful that even after 63 years of Independence of India, the basic essentials of modern life and amenities have not reached the poor and deprived and in particular tribal of the country. this is more so in the field of health, infant and maternity care resulting in high rate of infant and maternal mortality. I would like to site an example of my native village in the district of Godda in Jharkhand. I have written to the governor of Jhrarkhand, Prime minister of India and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi during Presidential rule in the state without any consequence.During my present visit to Ranchi I have have presented the problem personally to CM and the Health Minister and am anxiously waiting for some action.For details please read the attached.
